Faces of Japan #5: Mie

Mie is a tea farmer in the Kumamoto Prefecture. On weekends she often sells her tea and other vegetable products of her and her husbands farm on a small market in Kumamoto City. Her teas are excellent as I had the possibility to taste several of them. Interestingly she was one of the first ones talking about Fukushima with me. When Japanese people talk about the Fukushima nuclear disaster, they are refering to it as the "March 11th earthquake". Fukushima seems to be treated like the word "You-know-who" (Lord Voldemort) from Harry Potter. Mie however told me that since the nuclear disaster demand for her tea is rising, because Kumamoto is about 1000km away from Fukushima.
